Steve Carell Gives Props to the Animators!

Canada.com did a great interview with Jim Carrey and Steve Carell. Click HERE for the article. My favorite section from the article is below:

Carell loved the challenge of providing the voice for the animated mayor of Who-ville in Horton Hears A Who.

“I think there’s a freedom within the limitations,” Carell says. “I think when you are given a sort of structure and you can do anything within that structure, there’s something freeing to that. But really, the heavy lifting is done by the animators . . . . When you see it and you see where they’ve taken whatever you’ve done vocally, it’s remarkable.”

Carrey seconds Carell on the animation experience: “That’s the great thing. You’re surrounded by artists who are just as creative, or more so, than you are. I love being handled by nerds. It’s fantastic, man.”

  1. Carell comes across as just a good guy through interviews, and is probably pretty sincere in his comments about the animators…..I bet thats really nice to hear once in awhile.
