So yesterday was Theodor Geisel’s (aka Dr. Seuss) birthday. After being steeped in his world for the past 2 years I have become an even greater admirer of his work. He was truly an imaginative man with a big heart who put that heart and depth into his books. Millions of kids have grown up with him and he’s been a big part in their love of reading. So much so that the National Education Association promotes Read Across America day with Dr. Seuss and the celebration of his birthday every year. Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!
